How it Works

Maths Club is designed to meet students where they are and move them forward with clarity and purpose.

Getting Started

There are three ways your child can begin:

  • Initial assessment (recommended)
We offer a short one-on-one assessment to identify your child’s current stage of mathematical thinking and determine the best starting point.
  • Start from the beginning
Your child can begin in the first group and progress through all five groups, ensuring that key concepts are built thoroughly from the ground up.
  • Parent selection
You can nominate the group you feel is most appropriate for your child.

Waitlist and Placement

Once you’ve registered your interest, your child will be placed on the waitlist.

As soon as a place becomes available in your selected or allocated group, we will contact you to offer a position. Groups are formed carefully to ensure each student is placed where they will benefit most.

The Learning Journey

Each student is enrolled in one course per term, working within their allocated group. At the end of the term, they can choose to continue into the next group, progressing through each stage of mathematical development over time.

  • From additive thinking
  • Through multiplicative thinking
  • Into equi-partitioning
  • Followed by proportional reasoning
  • And ultimately generalising and algebraic thinking

Each stage builds on the last, ensuring that understanding is not rushed or fragmented.

Family Involvement

Parents have access to our Parent Portal, where they can view what their child is working on and access optional consolidation prompts.

This allows families to track their child’s learning journey and be as involved as they choose to be—whether that means simply staying informed or actively supporting learning at home.
